Earlier today on Twitter a poll was revealed to be about the Shiba Inu Themed Dogecoin, posted by Elon Musk, which further endorsed the coin to fans!
Dogecoin is halfway to its goal, teetering on the edge of $1. The all-time high for the coin is $0.74. Today (11th May 2021) the coin sits at an all-time 24 hour high of $0.54.
So, while the price has fluctuated it maintained a decent position with fantastic returns compared to last year. Elon Musk has been backing the coin for the past couple of months and has once again by mentioning Dogecoin on Twitter, has boosted the price of the currency that started out as a joke. He even claims that his project ‘SpaceX’ will be taking Dogecoin to the moon.
So, what did he say about the Shiba Inu Themed coin?

Will Tesla use Dogecoin in the future as currency?
Musk ‘The Dogefather’ has now posed the question to the public with a majority at this time voting yes. While he has not confirmed if he will accept it at his company as a form of payment, it is heavily implied that Dogecoin will be accepted as a form of payment and investment, the same way Bitcoin is.
However, the issue here is that Dogecoin still hasn’t hit that $1 mark, Which in the eyes of many investors would solidify and legitimise the coin as a stable form of currency.
Elon Musk has so far, heavily endorsed the Shiba Inu themed coin, side-stepping his own, even though it just released. Musk’s previous comments on Twitter have gotten him in hot water in the past for allegedly “manipulating stock prices up” but he hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down his plans of taking Dogecoin to the moon and now…to Tesla.
The poll is active for a total of 24 hours from the second it is posted. So come tomorrow, we will know what the point of it was and if Telsa will in fact accept the coin.
Fans reactions to the poll on Twitter revealed
Most fans and investors are stoked about the idea as many have already invested in Dogecoin. While others believe it is a joke, time will tell but here are the posts from supporters, who are all for Tesla accepting ‘Doge-‘.
Please note: While many are saying that Tesla is already accepting Dogecoin, this has not yet been confirmed at the time of writing.
