The Cardano Foundation has announced a massive \u201cbug bounty\u201d program for ethical hackers who can find vulnerabilities in the Cardano platform.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In a recent blog post<\/a>, the Cardano Foundation announced a bug bounty program with hacker-powered security firm HackerOne<\/a> to look for vulnerabilities in the project\u2019s blockchain. The Foundation hopes that this will help it \u201censure that the Cardano blockchain is the most stable and secure blockchain possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jeremy Firster, Project Manager at the Cardano Foundation, said it was their duty \u201cto maintain the highest standards and commitment to code transparency and reliability to ensure that the protocol remains viable for mission critical applications delivered around the world from individuals, start-ups, enterprises, financial institutions, and governments alike.\u00a0\u201c<\/p>\n

Firster went on to say that the partnership with HackerOne would send a clear signal to stakeholders that the Cardano values security and public safety. Firster also noted the participation of financial institutions alongside Cardano\u2019s growing userbase as a catalyst for increased security.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Tor Abrams, Account Manager for HackerOne, said the company was committed to testing, finding and safely reporting real-world security weaknesses:\u00a0<\/p>\n
