Justin Hatch was named head of credit at Cardano, a spokeswoman said.
The position is new. Mr. Hatch leads Cardano’s credit offering and sits on the firm’s investment committee, reporting to Marino Valensise, Cardano’s group CIO.
“I’m delighted to welcome Justin to Cardano,” Mr. Valensise said in a news release Monday. “He brings extensive experience and knowledge, which will be highly valued as we continue to expand our range of investment solutions.”
Mr. Hatch was head of credit and lead manager on sterling corporate bond portfolios at British Airways Pensions Investment Management, Harmondsworth, England, the manager of the Airways Pension Scheme and New Airways Pension Scheme with combined assets of £26.8 billion ($36.7 billion). A spokesman could not be reached to provide details about his replacement.
Cardano has £300 billion in assets under advisement and more than £50 billion in assets under management.
