Howard Brindle was named group chief operating officer of Cardano Group, the U.K. pension adviser and investment manager said Monday in a news release.
It is a new position and was created to help position the firm for future growth, a Cardano spokesman said in an email. Mr. Brindle will start Aug. 23 in London and will report to Kerrin Rosenberg, CEO of Cardano Investment and Harold Naus, CEO of Cardano Netherlands and subsidiary ACTIAM, the spokesman said.
Mr. Brindle was chief of staff for a £29 billion ($35.4 billion) private markets portfolio at USS Investment Management, the investment arm of the £95.1 billion Universities Superannuation Scheme, London. He joined USS in 2012. A call to USS for details on his replacement was not immediately returned.
