Bluzelle is trying to decentralise data storage by providing a secure and affordable alternative on the blockchain.
Bluzelle network will include a number of other features such as support for decentralised application (or “dApp”) development.
In the Bluzelle network, there are consumers of storage data who buy resources from the producers. These producers are lending their computing resources to the Bluzelle network in exchange for tokens.
The consumers in this network will primarily consist of dApp developers who have a need for an immutable decentralized storage platform. They can pay for these resources using the Bluzelle network tokens.
Another important component of the Bluzelle network is the Karma index. This determines whether producers are acting appropriately.
There are two tokens that are powering the Bluzelle network. BLZ & BNT.
BLZ is publically traded and was issued on the Ethereum Network.
BNT is a private native token that is used in the ecosystem. These can be exchanges 1 for 1 with the BLZ tokens.
Bluzelle held a crowd sale ICO for their BLZ token in January of 2018. This was at the peak of the bull run and they were able to raise a total of 19.5 million dollars in exchange for 500 million BLZ tokens.
Bluzelle is based in Singapore but they have a separate development team that is based in Vancouver.
They have 10 members with a range of backgrounds. These include engineers and software developers who have extensive experience in creating and scaling technology projects.
There have also been a number of partnerships that the project has entered into with companies that have agreed to use their technology.
Trading of BLZ is taking place on a number of exchanges although the bulk of the volume is on Binance. There are reasonable turnover levels here which bodes well for liquidity.
When it comes to storage, you can use any ERC20 compatbile wallet.
