Cardano’s adoption is exponentially driving up DeFi TVL
Initial stake pool offerings (ISPOs) are fundamentally transforming crypto fundraising and have become the primary method for crowdfunding decentralized applications (dApps) on Cardano. It is a revolutionary new fundraising mechanism that is more fair, inclusive, and secure than traditional ICOs. ISPOs allow stake pool delegators to divert staking rewards towards a project of their choice and instead receive project tokens in return. This unique mechanism allows the community to support their favorite project without spending their own assets by leveraging the network’s staking reward structure.
Pioneered by MELD, ISPOs have been a massive success in the Cardano ecosystem. In 2021 alone, the ISPO market saw up to $4 Billion worth of ADA delegated to stake pools for the purpose of crowdfunding dApps. Only about 4–8% of all of the 24 Billion ADA staked are dedicated to ISPOs, compared to >70% delegated to standard stake pools. Stake pool deployment and maintenance on Cardano is a tedious process that requires extensive manual labor and a high level of technical expertise. Maestro’s first product will enable the community to launch full-scale, multi-pool ISPOs with minimal time and effort. Maestro will provide users with a configuration and launch dashboard for specifying the ISPO stake pool metadata, start and end dates, content pertaining to the ISPO, and the native token distribution criteria.
